Short Overview

Mount Kenya is the Kenya’s biggest mountain ranging between 1600m - 5199m above sea level and second after Mt Kilimanjaro and is an extinct volcano at the equator located in Central province.

Major attractions

Pristine wilderness, lakes, tarns, glaciers and peaks of great beauty and mineral springs.

There is also the unique montane and alpine vegetation.

Wildlife such as elephants, tree hyrax, mole rat, bush bucks, water bucks, elands, suni and white tailed mongoose. You will rarely see the leopards, bongos, giant forest hogs and rhinos.

Over 130 species of birds.
